1. Take the I-270 NORTH exit, exit number 35, towards FREDERICK.
2. Continue on I-270 NORTH when you merge with I-270 traffic from Virginia 4 miles later.
3. Now sit back and enjoy, Just keep going NORTH on I-270. When you get to Frederick, I-270 turns into Rt. 15 NORTH to GETTYSBURG, so just keep going straight. Once your on I-270 from the Beltway, Thurmont is 36.7 miles away.
4. You know when your getting close to Thurmont because the farms will end and the forests will begin. You will first pass the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo on your right and the Cunningham Fall State Park/ Manor Area on the left. Keep going, your almost there.
5. You will now see the Exit for MD-806 and The Mountain Gate Family Restaurant on your right. You have one more exit to go. Please Note: If you are really late and it is 2 PM, take this exit you will see all the PT Cruisers parked on the corner parking lot of the Restaurant.
6. Ok, you will now come to the MD-77 EXIT. Please take this exit, but please be careful, it has a tight turn.
7. Once you come to the stop sign, turn RIGHT. You will now ascend into the Catoctin Mountains.
8. Continue on MD-77 and turn LEFT onto CATOCTIN HOLLOW ROAD. You will see signs for FALLS Parking.
9. Keep traveling on Catoctin Hollow Road for 1.5 miles until you see a sign for Cunningham Falls State Park, Falls Parking. Turn RIGHT into Park.
10. After paying entrance fee, continue on to the Parking area and you will see a Black PT Cruiser, That's it!
