1. Take the I-270 NORTH exit, exit number 35, towards FREDERICK.
2. Continue on I-270 NORTH when you merge with I-270 traffic from Virginia 4 miles later.
3. Now sit back and enjoy, Just keep going NORTH on I-270. When you get to Frederick, I-270 turns into Rt. 15 NORTH to GETTYSBURG, so just keep going straight. Once your on I-270 from the Beltway, Thurmont is 36.7 miles away.
4. You know when your getting close to Thurmont because you will start seeing hundreds of people parking on Rt. 15. Also you will notice that the farms will end and the forests will begin. You will first pass the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo on your right and the Cunningham Fall State Park/ Manor Area on the left. Keep going, your almost there.
5. You will now see the Exit for MD-806 and The Mountain Gate Family Restaurant on your right. You have 2 more exit to go.
6. Ok, you will now come to the MD-550 EXIT. Please take this exit.
7. Once you come to the stop sign, turn RIGHT onto MD-550 (North Church Street).
8. Go down one block and you will see a Old Stone House (403 N. Church St.) on your right, turn RIGHT on to Sandy Springs Lane. and then IMMEDIATELY turn RIGHT into our driveway.
