Endless Summer Cruisin I

Friday morning arrived and Melissa and I quickly got ourselves together, ate a brief breakfast, and hurried to get down to the "Inlet Parking" area early. We were looking forward to joining in on the mornings parade of cars down the boardwalk. In between polishing our cars, we all took the time to greet and meet the new people who were driving up. Then at 9 O'clock, we all pulled out together to drive up Coastal Highway to the parade's staging area. This was a double treat because we had our parade even before anyone else did. People were on the side walks and balconies pointing and waving at us. It was so cool!
We finally made it to the staging area, and then waited...which we didn't mind...... anyway because it gave us time to take a closer look at our fellow club member's PTC's and chat.....

Ok, we are ready
now!
Well some of us are. :-)
After the parade actually got going, we all were waving back at the people who lined the boardwalk. It is amazing how long it takes to drive a mile when you are traveling .5 miles an hour. Not to mention how numb your left foot gets while holding down the clutch that long !!! PTC. :-)
After we all pulled back into our spaces in the "Inlet Parking" area, we got down to some serious business, checking out some cars!

This is when a boy named Casey appeared. He really liked Bill & Sally's PTC
and was looking around it. Sally asked what had happen to his leg. Casey said,
with out any trepidation, that he had to have a knee replacement because of his cancer. As I continued to take shots of the car, Bill and
Sally talked some more with Casey. When It was time for us to leave, they
asked Casey if he would like to ride with them in next morning's parade. Boy did
his eyes ever light up, he said that he would have to ask his parents but he
would love to. So Bill and Sally told him that if he got permission to ride, all
he needed to do was show up at 8 the next morning and they would do the
rest.....
